The first step is to drain the oil. (Very important), this must be done before you even start the engine. By draining the oil, you remove the wetter capture oil along with the metal shavings. These shaves, no matter how small, can ruin your engine’s internal components over time. replace engine oil with brand name engine oil. 15w-40w motorcycle engine oil for 4-stroke motorcycles from trusted brands like Shell, Valvoline or Silkolene. You will need to add around 850ml-900ml (less than a litre) for 125cc engines, slightly more for 140cc or 150cc oil cooled engines.
After replacing the old oil with the new, go through the break-in process which involves riding the bike for two tanks of fuel at half throttle only. Strictly only use second gear for this step, then open the throttle after break-in and go hard.
